Hello all,

As of recent I've been experiencing a few power issues with my computer (an EliteBook 8470p). I've noticed that tapping on the front of my laptop (by the touchpad, specifically) causes it to turn off and I'd have to power-cycle it before i could turn it on again, and if I left my laptop unplugged long enough, it'd turn on by itself if I plugged in the AC adapter. (Note: the BIOS is not configured to have the system turn on when AC power is detected...) A couple times, upon turning my computer on it'd turn back off for a few seconds before starting again. Otherwise, everything else is working just fine, but I'm almost 100% sure that there's something wrong with my computer!

What can this mean and how can I manage this for the time being?

Thank you in advance!
