Dear All
I have a HP notebook Elitebook 850 G4 since 2018, purchased directly from HP, working fine until yesterday, when I upgraded my OS from Win 10 1706 to Win 10 20Y2. Everything seemed ok but after the last reboot I got a screen asking for a password. I suppose to have activated the "pre-boot authentication" . The password used to enter Windows doesn't work and the same occurs for any other psswd I ever used. To make the story short: after having contacted official HP customer care and IT offices I realized that I have two options: repair the pc spending the purchase price or buy another laptop. For an issue in PBA software from HP I will loose 1.5 K€. This is unacceptable. I will not buy HP anymore and I will spread this example over any channels available so that other users may be aware.
