Product: HP Chromebook 14 G3

Hello everyone when I first bought my chromebook whenever I connected a mouse (HP Chromebook 14 G3) there was no problem in autoscrolling if I clicked the middle mouse button I could autoscroll like the video shows

but after a while clicking the middle mouse button wouldnt make me able to autoscroll.  I could scroll manually by rotating the middle mouse button only . The mouse is fine because I have used it on other laptops/computers  and I can autoscroll just fine Any Ideas on what to do ?
