ProBook 470 G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I would like to connect 3 monitors (HP EliteDisplay E233) via DisplayPort to a single notebook (HP ProBook 470 G5).

My current setup trying to achieve this:

- HP ProBook 470 G5 connected via USB-c (Displayport support) using the USB-C to USB Adapter to a HP 3005pr USB 3.0 Port Replicator.

- In the back of the PortReplicator I connected a Displayport hub to the DisplayPort i/o. The hub is this one:

StarTech.com Multi Stream Transport Hub – DisplayPort 1.2 to tripple DisplayPort MST-hub

- The three monitors are connected to the hub using the DisplayPort cables that came with the monitors.

The monitors are working fine but the video signal is cloned to all three of them. In windows only 1 external monitor is detected and therefor there is no option to choose Extended Desktop. And this is, offcourse, what I need.

Can sameone help me out? Am I overlooking something?

My guess is that ether the notebook and/or the PortReplicator does not support multi-stream DP1.2. Can someone confirm this is the problem?
