Probook 650 G4
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I have recently purchased several ProBook 650 G4's specifically to make use of the "real" serial ports (I have had trouble with USB - serial adaptors in the past so don't like them). I need to interface to a product which runs at 115200 baud rate, and I've found that the Probooks will lose random characters at this baud rate (but appear to work correctly at lower baud rates). I found a forum which suggested this was a BIOS issue with the 650 G2 devices (which a BIOS update fixed), so have updated to the latest BIOS and Serial Drivers currently available, but have not managed to solve the issue. I have 5 of these laptops which all behave the same so I don't think it is a hardware issue, but I also have other PC's which don't show this fault when connected to the product in question. Does anyone know whether this is a known issue with this model?
