Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi i want to upgrade my laptop from intel i5 4200m to intel i5 4460 is it okay to upgrade it? will it cause damage to my laptop? i just want to upgrade to boost the performance of my laptop , is intel i5 4460 compatible to the motherboard?
