HP ProBook 450 G5 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When connecting the notebook via HDMI cable to Panasonic PT-VZ575N the projector shows "no signal". The HDMI cable is 1m long. The following things have already been figured out and tested:

  • when laptop is connected to the projector it detects it as another display, but the picture doesn't transmit
  • when laptop is connected to external USB-C dock and the projector is connected with dock HDMI port everything works
  • when laptop is connected to an EliteDisplay E242 with the same hdmi cable it works
  • when a different laptop (Lenovo) is connected to the projector with the same cable it also works
  • the error occurs on all 10 of 450G5 notebooks
  • when laptop is connected to the projector via VGA it works

The notebook in question has discrete Nvidia GeForce 930MX graphics card with Nvidia Optimus technology.
