Hi.

I recently bought a new laptop and, from the very start, as soon as I plug in the power cable, the laptop crashes to BSOD (with various IRQ error messages).

Aside from one or two rare occasions, the issue mainly occurs when I'm working on the laptop and plug in the power cable. For instance, I can close the laptop and charge it, then unplug and start working without an issue (for the most part.. touch wood).

Initially I thought it might be the power adapter - which was 87 watt (or similar). Using this, the crash would occur pretty much immediately whenever I plugged it in whilst in use. I have since bought a 45w adapter and, initially, the issue seemed resolved - I could work and charge at the same time! :)))

Sadly, it has since crashed once or twice maybe when not plugged in, and just today suddenly seems to refuse to charge and work at the same time (so again crashes/reboots and crashes again as liong as it's plugged in).

I haven't registered my laptop yet or sought official support (as it's in warranty).

Any practical insight/solutions or reassurance much appreciated, as it's critical for my new job - and is otherwise a lovely laptop!

Many thanks,.
