After upgrading to the 'Q81 Ver. 01.12.00 - 08/04/2020' System BIOS on my 'HP EliteBook 745 G5', I've been experiencing intermittent hangs during boot with the system freezing on the HP logo with "Protected by HP SureStart" displayed.  No error is displayed, no error beeps are heard.  This did not occur before the BIOS update, nor does it occur everytime the system is started (rough estimate is about 1/4 of the boots), and the system is stable once booted.  Powering the system off and on again clears the issue.

Searching this forum reveals that others experience this problem, so I thought I'd report it, since it only started with the most recent BIOS.

I ran the full system test with the UEFI based HP Diagnostics (v7.5.2.0), it passed.  On an unrelated note, I was unable to run a 'Diagnostic Update', it failed with a 'Failed to extract tar file' error.
