I get the feeling the HP staff members here have not used the spectre gem cut before from the irrelevance and lack of knowledge in the responses.

 

HP, please put your act together, fix the backlight timeout issue and post a proper answer. There is no option in any of the HP tools and there is no such option in the latest BIOS F.31. This is a big issue and I've never used a laptop with such a silly mistake, let alone a high end HP model.
