HP ENVY TouchSmart m7-j020dx Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Got a simple problem that the HP support Assistant found a long time ago. HDD is going, the number of bad blocks grow with each week using CHKDSK to keep her going. After wiping it and reinstalling too many times ovet the last few months as it has been going, it is time to give up and replace it.

Naturally it is drive I can't just get through HP anymore (orignal HP part#676521-001 or the newer replacement option of #778192-001) so before I run down the street to get another, I am looking for suggestions.

Does anyone recommend a better replacement that and exact one? I see I can get them online for  about $70. I am an old White Box OEM (with Intel and MS to start), so replacement is not problem. Just looking for perhaps a suggestion for a better replacement than the original ? Perhaps one with faster spin or bigger caches?

So help me out to get to a speedy recovery if you can please.

Thanks!

Wiz!!!
