Hello everybody,
I am having an issue with the battery JC04 of my HP Laptop 15-bs0xx. I am sure it is not an issue related to the charging point of the pc as it works perfectly without the battery.
Basically, although the pc shows that the battery is almost fully charged, it lasts no more than 10/15 minutes. While booting the pc, I also receive an error notification from Windows claiming that the battery is damaged or not functioning. Therefore I am convinced that it is just a matter related to the battery hardware.
I checked on the internet to look for battery replacements, but it seems like HP doesn't sell this battery anymore and I don't trust the products which are currently sold on Amazon (low prices and bad reviews for most of the retailers).
Therefore, I was evaluating the possibility to open the external case of the battery, check the single voltage of every single battery, and substitute the damaged one.
I am now looking for any kind of suggestion from more expert users regarding my situation.
Do you suggest to me to try substituting the batteries by myself? or it is better just to look for a full replacement?
If you think that the substitution of batteries is a viable option, which specifics should I check before buying replacements?
I am also attaching some photos with the specifics of the battery
Thank you in advance for your time and help
Matteo
