Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am planning to purchase Samsung 980 PRO 500GB PCIe 4.0 NVME M.2 SSD for my HP Pavilion 15-BC504TX, wanted to know if its compatible? and also if its worth, compared to Samsung 980 500GB PCIe 3.0 (Big difference in price Gen3 vs Gen4)

Another Query I had is regarding the maximum RAM supported. I am seeing a mixed response  -- 8GB, 16GB and 64GB MAX support. Assuming its greater than 8GB, is there a free slot available to add another RAM Card? Or do I need to replace the existing card with a higher capacity card for any upgrade?

Any help would be appreciated.
