HP SPECTRE X360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The battery died. It may have been because the computer was turned off and an external hard drive was still connected to  the computer, perhaps draining the battery below its critical voltage.

Bought a genuine battery "SH03XL", HP PN 859026-421 exactly as the original. Let it charge overnight. The LED was orange and  the following day was white. I assumed the battery was fully charged.

When pushing the on button, its LED turns on for 2 or 3 seconds, then shuts off, and the laptop doesn't power up.

The plan is to charge and discharge the battery three times so the computer learns that there is a new battery but I never got to that stage. It doesn't power up!

Many thanks! AGM
