Thunderbolt Dock G2 120W
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everybody,

I found the bug why the fan is so loud. There are several foils between the fan and the upper housing to cover the plug for the lid. These foils have come off a little bit and are hanging in the fan. With a bit of tape you can fix them and the noise is gone. For this, the whole dock has to be opened from the bottom and completely disassembled.

To test whether you have this error, you can press a little harder on the top of the dock while the fan is running. The noise should then get louder.
But be careful, this will shut down the plugged notebook!
