There was a query about how much RAM this HP Laptop could expand to.  Normally, there is little question as to this.  But this model was once advertised as being sold with 8 GB Ram.  And some 3rd party ram sellers indicated it could only by expanded to 16 GB ram.  However, when I bought the unit, the label on it said it had 4 GB Ram.   I later expanded that to 8 GB.  But to settle the question of what the memory could be expanded to, the answer is 32 GB.  You don't have to take my word for it.  At the command prompt, enter wmic memphysical get MaxCapacity, MemoryDevices and divide the resulting number by 1048576 in order to convert it to GB.  FYI, this model can be upgraded to Windows 11.  It is a quiet machine and it runs a bit hot so good ventilation is wise.  Getting that rubber strip to stick back on it if you disassemble it is a chore but I have no complaints about it otherwise.   As to why HP said it came with 8 GB is a matter lost in the recesses of time.  Only HP knew and I doubt any current employee knows if it was a marketing issue or a mistake or whether the machine was sold with differing amounts of Ram and only the sticky label admitted how mu
