Pavilion dv6-6c35dx
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I don't know whether viewing this message will tell you that I am using a Pavilion dv6-6c35dx laptop....

I use Excel (2007; yeah, yeah, I know. Whole other conversation) quite a bit, and recently discovered that Scroll Lock had gotten enabled, making it impossible to navigate a spreadsheet with the arrow keys, as is my usual habit.  I was shocked to discover that there is no Scroll Lock key on this computer.

Other discussions in this forum have indicated that pressing Fn-Ctrl-C, or just Fn-C, was equivalent to the Scroll Lock key, but that keystroke does nothing on this computer (at least, not in Excel).

Someone recommended using the On-Screen Keyboard, as that does have a Scroll Lock key; that did, in fact, work, thank goodness -- but it's a dang nuisance having to perform four separate mouse clicks to bring the thing up! (How ironic, for an "ease of access" feature.  That's not easy access, HP!)  Someone did say that pressing Windows-Ctrl-O would pop up the On-Screen Keyboard, but that also does not work for me.

I would really, really, prefer to have a physical key, or key combination, that i could quickly strike when needed and just keep on working, rather than the gross interruption of having to jump through hoops to bring up the On-Screen Keyboard etc.  I'm amazed that HP would omit a key from the standard Windows keyboard; what the heck were you guys thinking?

Anyway -- if there is a physical key combination equivalent to Scroll Lock, on this computer, please tell me.  If Fn-C or Ctrl-Fn-C really is supposed to do it (particularly in Excel), please advise as to reasons it might not be working.  (Just FYI, I am not in the habit of redefining Excel function keys -- and if I did, I certainly wouldn't involve the Fn key...)

Thanks in advance.
