Pavilion dv6
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

My  HP brand(HP Pavilion dv6-6093ex).
I have upgraded from Windows 10, version 1709(Build 16299, 309) to Windows Windows 10, version 1803(Build 17134.137).

Then, the fingerprint sensor didn't work well.

I tried installing "Synaptic Validity Sensors(WBF)(PID=0013) drivers, but when it wasn't installed well, I tried clicking 'right click' on the 'Validity Sensors' entry, and selected 'uninstall' with picking 'delete drivers for this device'. Then I let windows 10 update sevice check for update and isntall

Microsoft's Windows Update Service checked for updates for Valildity Sensors(WBF)(PID=0018) and installed itMicrosoft's Windows Update Service checked for updates for Valildity Sensors(WBF)(PID=0018) and installed it

Then this is the deriver version  of Validity sensor which got updated by Windows 10

After Validity Sensor got updated by Microsoft's Windows 10 Update ServiceAfter Validity Sensor got updated by Microsoft's Windows 10 Update Service

However, Synaptic WBF Policy Service is still shown in the service of System Configuration, however, the manufacturer is Validity Sensor

Synaptic WBF Policy Service is shown in System ConfigurationSynaptic WBF Policy Service is shown in System Configuration

However, it is shown Validity Sensor in the device manager.

Validity Sensor is shown in device managerValidity Sensor is shown in device manager

Validity WBF Policy Service is shown in the System ConfigurationValidity WBF Policy Service is shown in the System Configuration

As a result, I think that "Validity  WBF Policy Service" should be shown in sevice in System Configuration as long as "Validity Sensors(WBF)(PID=0018)"
