Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Product: 840 G5
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My customer had an 9480 unit.  She could switch the primary mouse buttons for the attached mouse and keep the buttons assigned to the touchpad the same.  On the external mouse the primary would be the right button.  On the touchpad the primary would be the left button.

In the mouse properties box under the buttons tab is the spot to switch the primary and secondary buttons.  On the touchpad tab under the button actions, you can change the primary and secondary buttons.  I can see this on Windows 10 Version 1709 and 1803.  My PC is a 9480 with Verion 1803 os build 17134.648

The customer now has a 840 G5.  She can swap the buttons on the Mouse, but there is no way to adjust the touchpad.

On the TouchPad tab on the 840, there is no option for the change.  It moves to the Windows Touchpad options.  I tried to turn off the “Leave touchpad on when a mouse is connected”, but it picks up the change for the button switch when you take the mouse away.  If I go to “Additional settings”, it puts me back to the Synaptics touchpad properties with no option to change.  I checked the device info and the driver and firmware are the same on the old and new unit.  Funny thing is if you go to the TouchStyk, the options are there to change.

There is on option for the Button Actions on the Touchpad tab in Mouse properties.

Device info is Synaptics Luxpad V1.5 on SMB port

Driver Version: 19.0.19.63

Firmware Version: 1.5

Interface: SMB

Anybody run into this and have a resolution?
