HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13-ap0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The laptop is 18 months old and no longer in warranty. It often needs to be restarted using the power switch after a black screen start or after a black screen caused by connecting over the USB port to my TV......but I have got used to that.

Recently the laptop freezes after a half hour which can only be resolved with a power switch reset.

In reality the laptop is still running but everything has slowed down to a snails pace so that streaming does not work and opening or closing an app takes several minutes instead of being instant as usual.

I have run ALL of the suggested HP diagnostic tests and no faults are found.

I have rebooted my router (but it was still working fine with my iPhone etc anyway)

Task Manager does not indicate anything being overloaded.

Anti Virus software finds nothing.

Changing from Firefox to Edge does not solve the problem.

I am about ready to jump ship and buy a Macbook...... something that I have resisted for over 20 years!
