Firmware Driver Updates

BIOS latest version F.23 Rev.A

Windows Updated to latest 1909 with the latest rollup updates installed

Drivers, all HP Intel drivers installed and updated

I am not using a Dock

Thunderbolt device is an Universal Audio Apollo X4 (this is new, but the x6 and x8 versions are on the Thunderbolt compatibility list, the x4 just has a few less audio inputs on it)

Cable is from Amazon, editor choice from the company "Plugable" 40Gb .8 long (made sure to get a short one)

 

Two problems, I think both related to Thunderbolt,

first Problem 

PCI to PCI Bridge under device manager

Error

This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)

The specified request is not a valid operation for the target device.

Bridge PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1578&SUBSYS_11112222&REV_02

 

Second Problem under device manager 

note: (Both are sharing the same  PCI Bus, not sure if that's right or not (PCI bus 5, device 0, function 0 )

ThunderBolt(TM)Controller - 1577 (this one has an exclamation mark over it)

PCI bus 5, device 0, function 0

Driver date 2018

Driver version 17.4.78.21

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1577&SUBSYS_11112222&REV_02

 

ThunderBolt(TM)Controller - 1577 (this one seems to be working correctly)

PCI bus 5, device 0, function 0

Driver date 2018

Driver version 17.4.78.21
