I have an Elitebook 1050 G1 with Ubuntu 18.04, as a dual boot with Windows 10.
One of the most annoying things is that most functions of the thunderbolt dock do not work with linux. I can power on the laptop using the dock, and it does load the battery. But neither Ethernet nor other USB devices nor displays are working.
To use internet connection, I have to use Wifi or plug in an USB-hub with an RJ45-plug, both works. But not on the dock.
From what other people mention in their problem descriptions, they have managed to make the dock work with linux (and have only some little problems left). But I have not found a clear description on how to do it. What do I have to do to use the thunderbolt dock also from Ubuntu?
