The touchpad has the ability to click in the lower left and lower right corners. The pad physically depresses to make contact. The lower left corner of my touchpad does not return from the press. It registers as if you are continually holding the left mouse button. The touchpad needs to be replaced or repaired, but my HP CarePack is proving to be useless.

When I use the support site, I'm shown that I have an active warranty. It takes me to search for an authorized repair center. I called one and they want me to work with HP first. This is an impossible request, as it turns out. The online techs tell me 1) I'm out of warranty, 2) Oh wait, send it in and we'll get it back in 5 weeks, 3) you need to reset your laptop.  It is 100% worthless and a waste of my time .  Can anyone tell me how you talk with a human being or actually use the extended care pack to get service?
