Product: HP Pavilion 17-e137cl Notebook PC ENERGY STAR
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Okay first and foremost this started with a simple screen replacement and hinge replacement which quickly had turned into so much frustration I am feeling quite defeated. The ribbon cable came loose from it's solder point on the touchpad board , so I being cheap tried to resolder the original cable and succeeded only to find it's now barely.. literally barely too short to reach the connector a week later and 20$ less in my account I spliced it with silver conductive epoxy and have it reconnected I'm feeling a little better about the situation and I'm putting the laptop back together, the pain in the ass it is and it's tight nooks and crannies, I hear a strange ping and my heart drops as I discover two prongs have broken loose in what I guess would be a middle point of the wire inside a small plastic black cube on the motherboard itself I have no clue what this component is and I'm at my end with this endeavor if anyone could please identify this for my knowledge and possible next course of action.
