Envy TouchSmart 15-j051ea
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Am using Blender 2.79 and have set

# https://blender.stackexchange.com/questions/5281/blender-sets-compute-device-cuda-but-doesnt-use-it-...
bpy.context.user_preferences.addons['cycles'].preferences.compute_device_type = 'CUDA'
bpy.context.user_preferences.addons['cycles'].preferences.devices[0].use = True
bpy.context.scene.cycles.device = 'GPU'
# https://blender.stackexchange.com/questions/3082/specify-tile-size-for-blender-cycles-rendering-via-...
bpy.context.scene.render.tile_x = 256
bpy.context.scene.render.tile_y = 256

But when I render the Nvidia GT 740M GPU is virtually unused --- 1 or 2% activity in task manager (at most).

Is this a driver problem?  Device manager says the drivers are up to date. Do I need special Nvidia drivers?

Please, has anyone got Blender Cycles rendering working on HP Envy, and if so (great!) and how did you do it?
