USB-C/A Universal Dock G2
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all,

I am using an HP Pavilion 15-cs1400ng with HP USB-C/A Universal Dock G2 (Prod. Nr: 5TW13AA#ABB). This works like a charm with two displays, whether connecting it via USB-C or USB-A with an adapter. However, as it does not charge my laptop and I currently need a separate charger, I purchased a "4.5mm and USB-C Dock Adapter G2" (Prod. Nr: 6LX61AA#AC3). While this does work in practice, whenever I connect the power via the 4.5mm cable, the displays become painfully slow, there is a lag of 1-2 seconds.

I have up-to-date drivers and firmware installed (DisplayLink USB Graphics Software for Windows 10.0.82.0 and Dock Firmware 1.1.9.0 Rev.A).

Has anyone encountered this issue before, and is there anything that can be done about it?

Thanks!

Gena
