I've purchased a Belkin USB-C to HDMI adapter so that I can connect my Spectre x360 to a monitor. When I connect the monitor via the adapter to the Spectre's USB-C port I get the sound notification that indicates that a new device has been attached. However, this notification sound repeats every 10-15 seconds continuously. How do I stop this?
I have another USB-C adapter (by Comsol) which has VGA and HDMI connection options. Attaching the monitor using this adapter results in the initial notification sound but does not create the ongoing, repetitive sound.
Not sure if it makes a difference, but in addition to the HDMI port the Belkin adapter also contains a USB-C port so that you can still connect a power cable / other USB-C device. This is the reason for changing over to this new adapter.
Any help appreciated!
