Product: HP Pavillion Power Laptop 15-cb0xx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I have a HP Pavillion laptop and a Apple Thunderbolt display that I want to connect with each other. My HP pavillion has a USB-C port and my Apple Thunderbolt Display has a Thunderbolt 2. I bought an adapter from USB-C to Thunderbolt-2  from Apple to connect my laptop from USB-C to the Thunderbolt 2 of the display, but the connection does not work. 

 

I saw a question before about this topic, but I couldn't find the solution on the forum. So does anybody know how I could make this connection work?
