Hello,
I am using a HP Probook G4 with Windows 7 Professional. On this notebook I have instaleed Windows XP Mode to operate a 32-Bit version of software for Windows XP. When I attempt to 'attach a USB' being my USB to serial cable, I receive a message stating:
"Could not attach the USB device. You can attach the USB device to a different USB port or restart the virtual machine and try again."
I have tried connecting to the other USB ports and restarting Windows XP Mode and had no luck. Looking at other forums, it seems that Windows XP Mode does not operate with USB 3.0 ports but if I could revert my USB port drivers to USB 2.0 everything will be fine.
Would this be the solution to my problem and if so, how do I revert my USB 3.0 ports to USB 2.0?
