Greetings.
I have a HP Notebook - 14s-cf0042tx.
My processor is an Intel I7-8550u.
Bios Version F.63.
Windows 10, 21H1, 19043.1151
I noticed one day my laptop was slower than usual. Then I checked task manager and found out that the number of logical cores in only 4 instead of 8 if hyperthreading was on. When I enter the bios, hyperthreading is disabled.
I tried enabling it in the BIOS, then saving changes before exiting. Yet it just restarts without enabling hyperthreading. I have also loaded the default bios settings (which should enable the hyperthreading option), yet the problem remains.
Anyone with the same problem or knows how to fix this issue?
Thank you.
