Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am trying to update BIOS before performing a clean install of Win 10 Pro.  (Current System BIOS version: L71 Ver. 01.30;  BIOS release date 12/09/2014)

Currently, Win 10 will not boot, so I am trying to update BIOS via USB.

Using another laptop, I have successfully downloaded and run sp102452.exe, creating my USB BIOS update files. Now I need to move over to the destination laptop (EliteBook 850) and actually do the update.

But I have three different sets of instructions on how to proceed:

1. from the HP Virtual Assistant;

2. from the sp102452.exe BIOS update and recovery tool that created the USB files

3. from the destination's Setup menu "Update BIOS using local media"

And not one of these choices is exactly consistent with what I have in front of me - they all refer to different USB files or different setup options than I have.

Can anyone tell me exactly how to proceed?

Attached are photos of the BIOS update menu I have and of the files created on the USB drive.
