I had the same problem. It seems the solution is to not leave cards in the card reader when you're not actively using it. Since I've done that, I've not had the BSOD (knock on wood).

 

My driver was up-to-date, so I'm not sure why there's this problem of getting a Bug Check 0x50: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. I'll probably just use an external card reader, or see if I can get away with actively using the internal one to transfer files and then eject it.
