Folio 9740M
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone. So, I have a folio 9470M and since last couple of months I'm experiencing a weird screen bleeding/light leak issue from the corners. The light leak looks something like this:

Light leak when the laptop is OffLight leak when the laptop is Off

Now, lets talk about this problem in detail.

The nature of the problem:

  • The light leak is always there. Even if the laptop is Off and even when it's On.
  • The light shakes/flickers sometimes, not every time.
  • It's barely visible in daytime or if the brightness is turned up to 100%.
  • It eats up a tiny bit of battery.
  • If all power source is removed (power cord/battery) it's no longer visible.
  • The light leak becomes brighter if the laptop is plugged in and is dimmer when it's on battery power.
  • In the beginning, the light used to be leaked from the bottom right side of the screen, however now it leaks from the bottom left.

Now, I don't have any problem with it because it doesn't cause any issue beside eating some battery percentage. But I wanna know what is causing that and what is the actual problem. And also how can this be solved. Thanks in advance.
