HP Recommended
Zbook 15 G3 studio
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

With this Zbook the problem is when I boot the laptop there sometimes is an HP boot logo en the screen works and sometimes there isn't a HP boot logo.

When there isn't a logo the trick to get the screen to work is, to close the screen slowly until the logo appears. After the logo appears I can fully open the screen and the laptop works fine.

After booting up fully I can close and open the screen no problem.

This however is very annoying. Does anybody know what has failed or is in need of replacing?

The laptop is on the latest BIOS and windows update. The Quadro Nvidia card has the latest standard driver from Nvidia.

The BIOS is set to use the discrete graphics card. Switching to the Intel onboard graphics has made no difference.

Because I can move the screen without is going off or anything I can rule out a wire breach in the display cable right?

The laptop does sometimes lose the Quadro driver. Meaning when the thing manages to boot the resolution can be set to 1024*768.

After reinstalling the driver the resolution can be set to 1920*1080.

I hope someone has a solution for this weird problem.
