Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have installed Bluestacks the android emulator , the application asked to enable virtualization for better performance, i did some search and found that enabling it can be risky, i could not understand why this can be

a security issue for my notebook,  enabling virtualization really enhanced the performance of the app but i disabled it after i knew about the security issue!!

How enabling virtualization be risky ??? and should i enable it in my situation???
