HP Recommended
HP Pavilion DV6 2140ED
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Previously on Windows 7 x32 the device has been working flawlessly.

Yet on a clean Windows 10 x64  installation the onboard webcam works just fine at first, but only for about 30 minutes.

Windows then shows a problem with unknown (USB) device.

Device status:

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

The error:

Port reset failed

location:

Port_#0005.Hub_#0004

Removing all installed (USB)devices, reboot the system for automatically reinstalling the devices does not do the trick.

The onboard webcam seem to be an composite device and consists of an software driven audio and video device, but only the audio device is recognised, the video device is not.
I tried seperately installing the Windows 7 x64 packages 'sp49996', sp51029', 'sp74820', but none of those seem to work or is a permanent sollution.

As it seems, Microsoft has no drivers for the composite webcam device.

Who can help with this annoying problem?
