Probook 450 G3
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I need to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro on a pc workstation, Probook 450 G3.

It is a standalone laptop with no home group or with any other device

I have questions that need to be answered before the upgrade.

1) will the programs and files be transferred from W7SP1 to Windows 10 PRO?

2) will Windows 7 PRO's registry and system files be completely replaced?

If you need the specs for this machine it can be found on the product page at HP.com

the only difference is that my laptop has 12 GB RAM rather than 4 GB RAM

even though I'm told free upgrade is over, I'm being told by HP workstations tech support that

the product key is embedded on the laptop and is still valid.

I'm asking you because the OEM's community forum hasn't answered the 2 questions.
