HP Recommended
Version 20H2 OS Build 19042.804
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Omen 17 Inch.

Windows Hello stopped working after Windows 10 update to 20H2.

System restore does not fix it.

I did contact Intel for camera drivers support and followed their instructions as described HERE: https://support.intelrealsense.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022951533-Windows-10-Issues-with-Intel-RealS...

I have an SR300 that was previously working fine.

Intel worked my ticket and the answer was to contact HP and or Microsoft for they could not do anything else.

I have done the typical Microsoft

- DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

- DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

- DISM.exe /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup

- sfc /scannow

And no problems are found and complete properly.

I cleared the TPM on the BIOS and ensured it was recreated. tpm.msc.

I changed my PIN successfully and I am able to login just fine.

I have tested the camera and BOTH video and picture work just fine.

System is completely up to date.

When I try to setup Windows Hello, I click on SETUP then GET STARTED then it prompts me for the PIN which I enter and looks like a window flashes very fast and takes me back to the previous page to do the Windows Hello setup.

I ensure my ID has proper NTFS permission to the entire path.

Also checked the local GPO Security Interactive logon: Require Windows Hello for Business or smart card

Also followed HP instructions HERE: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05873680

Updated BIOS plus all other firmware by using my serial number on the HP site.

Created a new profile and tried it but it also failed.

Disabled MalwareBytes and the Windows 10 Defender and tried it but failed.

I'm out of options...
