hp split 13x2 (g100x2 pc)
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)

External power supply tested on another pc-its ok

replaced both batteries-new

problem:

screen section and operating system works good.

have to plug external supply in for power; disconnect power supply and upper screen half shuts down.

will boot up with no issues.

shows no battery for pc with system power on

keyboard section with external power supply connected; light for power indication is not lit; tried hard reset-nothing happened; batteries do not charge; black screen with upper screen attached-no boot; no working keys on keyboard and no lights on keys.

tried jiggling jack on power supply hooked to pc-no change. Could use any ideas-system had worked fine before until a battery failure as far as I know-could feel heat next to mouse pad (be on your left side looking down at pc); thats when I replaced the batteries. Any help is appreciated. thanx
