HP Recommended
Product: probook4430s
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

A monthly MS upgrade hangs after reboot at 35%.
Diagnostics have not (yet) found an issue.
I am thinking about taking the hard drive out, put in an enclosure,
plug it via a usb cable into another machine and rename/remove:
C:\Windows\WinSxS\cleanup.xml
C:\Windows\WinSxS\pending.xml
Is that recommended?
Is there a better way?
