i have the hp Probook 6470b laptop running win 10 enterprise. 8 gb ram i5-3230m processor. 64bit 1909 build 18363.836 5-16-2020
and i have been having issues with the pc stopping and then catching up. for example, if I'm typing something i have noticed that nothing shows, and then all of a sudden i see the letters start showing up on at a time.
if I'm going from tabs i click on a tab and have to wait. then all of a sudden the tab shows up. the letter hesitation happens more in the win10 email for yahoo but it still happens in yahoo mail and even in this post.
i changed out the ram from a known good machine. and if i have to hit the back key a few times i see it do the same. it hesitates and then wam the letters start going away. i just did a restore and that did not seem to clear this up. i'm about ready to get another hard drive to see if maybe the hard drive is doing this. i ran from the bios and form window the memory and hard drive utilities and they passed with the old ram. i figure the new ram will pass as on the donor pc i had no issues. I'm about to get a hard drive off ebay with win10 pro installed, my pc is set to boot in legacy so i should be able to swap the hard drive for another one. now i have win10 enterprise installed and since last dec. when i had to do a restore i have had issues. and so i did a restore 2 weeks ago and about the same thing.
so anyone happen to have some ideas? if not i will get another hard drive and give that a try, my hard drive may be starting to go bad. thanks

ok, this is what I have now done. i changed the hard drive out and installed a win10 pro version. so I'm going to run with this now for a bit to see if things clear up. last Dec. i had the pro version installed and thing ran good. then I restored the PC and got enterprise and things went downhill from there. it may be the hard drive was starting to fail. or not. so now I have new memory another hard drive and win10 pro installed. and so far even my typing is running smooth and I have not had any sluggishness issues yet, not to say that it will not return. if it does then I may have a bad motherboard as everything else has been changed out.
