HP EliteBook 8540w
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I HAVE THE ELITEBOOK 8540W AND WANTED TO MAKE EVERYTHING UP TO DATE. SO I INSTALLED THE LATEST BIOS FROM HP'S DRIVER WEBSITE. NOW MY LAPTOP JUST LIGHTS UP WHEN PLUGGED IN BUT THE SCREEN STAYS BLACK. SO I NEED TO GO BACK TO THE OLDER BIOS THAT I HAD WHEN MY LAPTOP WAS RUNNING NORMALLY. WHEN EVERYTHING WAS FINE IT WAS RUNNING THIS BIOS FROM HP'S DRIVER WEBSITE --> "HP Notebook System BIOS Update (ROM Family 68CVD) Ver F.0F Mar 9, 2011. I CAN EASILY UPDATE IT MYSELF BUT MY LAPTOP IS BRICKED OF COURSE AND THE LOCAL LIBRARY WON'T LET ME RUN .EXE FILES!! :(. SO I'M STUCK! AND I JUST BOUGHT THIS LAPTOP. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE DOWNLOAD IT FOR ME AND RUN THE .EXE FILE & SEND ME THE FILES IT PRODUCES SO I CAN PLACE THEM ON MY USB DRIVE? ME AND MY ELITEBOOK WOULD HIGHLY APPRECIATE IT!!!

HERE IS THE HP SITE --> https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-elitebook-8540w-mobile-workstation/4096175

MY SYSTEM IS WINDOWS 7 (64 BIT) AND THE BIOS I NEED THE FILES FROM IS "HP Notebook System BIOS Update (ROM Family 68CVD) Ver F.0F Mar 9, 2011".

(JUST TO BE CLEAR I DO NOT NEED JUST THE .EXE FILE FROM THE WEBSITE. I NEED SOMEONE TO RUN IT. IT THEN GIVES YOU FILES THAT GO ON A USB. I NEED THOSE FILES SO I CAN PLACE THEM ON MY USB SO I CAN BOOT MY LAPTOP THAT HAS A CORRUPTED BIOS. I THINK IT GIVES YOU THE OPTION TO JUST DOWNLOAD THEM IF YOU DON'T HAVE A USB)
