Product: Elitebook 8470w
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After installing windows 10 update to 1703 version, laptop will not shutdown.  Appears to shutdown initially, but it seems to have restarted.  If I push manually push and hold power button, laptop will shutdown. However, sometimes it just goes in sleep mode and runs the battery down.

 

Had this problem when I first installed Windows 10 but fixed by unchecking Fast boot in bios.  System had been running well.  Now, problem is back but no clear remedy.

 

Have tried installing different Intel MEI drivers, no change.  7,8,9,11.

Tried different power options Hp optimized, Performance, etc. no change

I did uninstall embedded security to get 1708 to install. 

 

Any suggestions on what to do are most appreciated.
