Product: toshiba satelite
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

just ran a Veeam bare metal retstore to a new hard drive.   realtek wifi adapter shows properly installed, but no connections are available.  network trouble shooter says wifi adapter failed. replacing orignal drive results in a perfectly working wifi connection.
