I have two (possibly related) problems about projecting to an external monitor using my Zbook Studio G4 laptop.
1) Trying to project to a (4k) monitor using type-c port.
When I connect the cable (type-c to type-c), the monitor is shown in the display settings on windows (as shown in below screen clipping); however the screen is not being duplicated or extended when I try to do so. It looks like the monitor doesn't receive any signal although I manually select the type-c input from its panel (the second screen clipping below).
2) Trying to project to a (4k) monitor using the HDMI port.
Using an "HDMI to HDMI" cable I can project to the (same) monitor. It works fine in general but this time there are some abnormalities in some colours. For example, the black texts seem "blue-ish".
Additional info:
I recently reinstalled windows and started to face with this problem. Earlier I was able to use the same monitor with the same type-c cable. Unfortunately, I can't remember what could be different regarding the drivers, the windows version, etc that worked in harmony on previous windows installation. (Using windows 10 pro 64 bit)
So far, I tried below but they didn't work.
- installing the required display drivers from the drivers page (without doing any windows update after fresh windows installation)
- installing the required display drivers from the drivers page (after fresh windows installation + windows updates)
Can someone help me with that please?
Thanks in advance!
