hi team, this  post is in continuation of previous post with link as below.

Re: technical info about ram upgrade. ( frequency/latency). - HP Support Community - 8061273

it seems like the laptop has preinstalled sk hynix 8gb ddr4 2666 mhz cl 19  running at 2400 mhz and cl 17.

, as cpu is i5 8th gen 8265u and it supports max 2400 freq.

After adding 8 gb crucial 2666 mhz ddr4 cl 19 ram bios is making  it dual channel at  2400   freq and cl 18 ..

it was better i would had got 2400 cl 17  as with single channel.
how can i make it run at cl 17 again in dual channel mode @2400 mhz.
PS:   added same specs ram like, rank is single for both .
frequency, size ,cas, chip on side is same.
only brands vary.
default was skhynix and i added crucial.
also i observed there is increase in CPU temp by 7 degrees than before . is it normal or hp service guy didnt apply thermal paste well. because upgarde was done by service center and they said they also changing thermal paste .
before upgrading in single channel mode  maximum temp reached  i saw was 88c and now i see its 95 max ..
idle temp is 40 -45c.
room temp 24c.
one thing i noticed is when i open big apps like chrome/vscode/   cpu temp spikes for few seconds to highest temp like 90c
and comes to 40 soon..
for small apps it spikes to 75c for few seconds.
this temperature spike didnt use to happen in previous gen cpus or latest, than 8th gen as per my experience .
