Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hi, I recently reinstalled Windows 8.1 on my laptop, and got a replacement screen(the exact same screen it came with). But after ten minutes or so using the laptop after the replacement and reinstallation of windows, vertical lines appeared on the screen, and the picture shifts.  I plugged in another screen with a vga plug, and the picture is fine on that screen. The lines are not on BIOS either. I can make the picture normal again when, without a second screen plugged in, I go to 'project' then click 'second screen' and 'extend picture'. But I have to do this every time I use the computer, or switch users. Any advice?
