In my company about 20-30 HP 1030 has the following issue:
when VPN use the built-in SIM modem the system goes to BSOD
I have checked the Windows Reliability Report of some similar cases logs, the crash is usually created by file fwpkclnt.sys (Microsoft Windows IPsec Kernel-Mode API file).
This file calls the IPsec with the Intel Modem XMM 7360 LTE-A. The IPsec security dials directly with the drivers (SSL is on more elevated layer) so it seems a sort of bug/incompatibility between VPN and the internal modem.
If we switch VPN in SSL instead of IPsec we have no BSOD and if we use WiFi instead of internal LTE modem no BSOD
On the web we see many HP cases. I have tried many versions of the Intel drivers, updated HP firmware, updated win10, changed win10 version, changed VPN version… no good luck.
please put this in attention of HP as maybe an updated Intel Modem XMM 7360 LTE-A is needed
thanks to all
