I just got this laptop with the following specifications:

  • 500 GB 7200 RPM SATA Hard Drive

  • No WLAN/ no Bluetooth
  • 0mm SATA DVD+/-RW SuperMulti Dual-Layer optical drive - 24x CD-ROM, 24x CD-R, 8x DVD-ROM, 8x DVD-R
  • 8 GB DDR4-1866 PC4 SO-DIMM memory (1 DIMM)
  • Fingerprint Reader
  • Integrated HD 720p Webcam with Dual Array Microphone
  • 0m Power Cord with C5 connector

  • 1/1/0 Year Warranty

I am surprised that this laptop cannot connect to internet via wireless wifi available in my house except only by wired internet connection. How can I fix this problem? I have contacted the customer support and was asked to update BIOS which I have done but no positive results yet. 

The wireless connection button on the laptop with LED light indication does not change even when pressed to activate wireless connection or otherwise.

I have checked the device manager and found out that only Realtek PCIe GBE Family controller is the wireless adapter found on the laptop. I have tried to update this as well all to no avail.
