Has anyone else had an issue on M1 chip (apple silicon) Macs where the "open scanner" and "open print queue" functions do not work for your HP printer? The other community solutions didn't work for me (updating OSX to latest release, updating printer firmware, downloading Apples HP drivers file, downloading HP's own printer drivers, installing using. HP easy start).
I fixed the problem by changing the printer application's attributes to specify "Open using Rosetta". To do this, you'll need to modify Apple's finder to show hidden files and then use Finder's "get info" to change the attributes of the file ~/Library/Printers/HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 series.app
